Greetings,

My name is Nicole Aloeyi, and I am a Johns Hopkins University student. Hi,

My name is Christina, and I am a Towson University student. I received a grant through the Communication Department to support my endeavor of hosting educational/informational workshops about the prison industrial system. I will be hosting 2-3 events this semester (Now till mid-May), although I do not have any dates solidified yet. Would you be interested in being a panelist at an event to inform students about prison from a legislative perspective? If you are interested, please respond with your availability and any questions you may have.

Thank you for your time,

Christina

Greetings,

My name is Andrennae Speaks. And, I am the sister of Todderic Speaks an individual serving life with parole and the host of ANDRENNAE SPEAKS-talk radio “Where all perspectives have a seat at the table” 1500Radio.net In an effort to assist my brother in repealing his life sentence, I learned about MRJIs’ lawsuit against the State of Maryland represented by the ACLU.

I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to speak you regarding your justice reform advocacy. In addition, to hearing your perspective on the impact of legislation SB 111 & HB 303.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

My name is Melissa Lavoie, and I am a medical student at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. I am wondering if Walter may be able to come and speak at Hopkins.

To share a bit about myself: I have been passionate about criminal justice reform for a long time. I help lead a knitting group in the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women, and before medical school I worked for the City of New Haven’s Reentry Initiative, advocated for drug law reform, and interned at public defenders’ offices in New Orleans and DC. I have been looking for a way to inspire interest in this issue among my classmates and faculty at the School of Medicine, and to hear Walter speak would be a wonderful opportunity to do so.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Best,

Melissa Lavoie
